Martin Jalfen is an Argentinian but was born in London and now lives in Madrid. He’s a director who’s mind is ultra creative and off-the-wall. Martin started his career in an agency but quickly found his own path by directing outlandish stop motion animation films and a puppet-based soft-porn animation film « The Blindness of the Wood » which received several awards. When Martin went into advertising, his style immediately hit the spot. He always thinks outside the box, which always makes his creations very fresh. Whether he stages hyperactive dogs, gives a voice to objects impatient to say farewell to their owners or explores mother-son relationships (and virility) with irony, he always takes the viewer on a thrilling and delirious journey. His visual grammar is outstanding in its precision and his use of tempo to generate laughter or bewilderment is near-scientific. Each of his films is a gem that we want to watch over and over.
