THE LONDON PREMIERE OF THE BRBR'S FIRST FILM FEATURE, THE 21st OF SEPTEMBER 2023.
After the release in theaters all around Spain, then the release on Netflix - 'La Mala Familia' is now tackling England. It was at the Prince Charles Theater, the one and only independent cinema in the West End. BIRTH was proud to escort their dear collective BRBR, Nacho Villar and Luis Rojo, into a new step of the history of their film. Those two directors get inspiration from their past productions to brings on into screen this extract of life - characters were casted to play their own story.

The lead actor, Andres David Pizarro Gomez, "Andresito" in the movie, was also there to give his voice about his own experience.
To give you an idea, La Mala Familia is the story of a madrileño summer: « Like all the kids who can’t afford a vacation, Nata, Sebas, Jamel, Chimaira and the rest of the kids from « La mala familia » decide to go to the swamp to enjoy the day and cool off. They have all changed a lot since the trial that transformed their lives, and although they all struggle to carve out a good path for themselves, the constant threat of the sentence that forces them to stick together is a pressure cooker that reminds them all the time that kids like them have no chance of redemption. »

This story is 95% true - and well known of Nacho Villar who was in the past the flatmate of Andres - the latter took part in the documentary while on prison leave. La Mala Familia tells one reality, the one of these protagonists.
